From: BlackJohn(a)aol.com
Dear Mr Johnson,
I hope you'll excuse me contacting you out of the blue, but I'm writing a
feature for Q magazine (kind of like Rolling Stone magazine, but here in the
UK) about a rock festival called the Celebration Of Life which took place at
Cypress point Plantation, Pointe Coupe Parish, about 50 miles north of Baton
Rouge in July 1971.
I found your name and e-mail address on the Parish website, and wondered if
you, being a local resident with an interest in the history of your
community, might know of anyone who attended that festival, and who might be
able to recollect anything about it to enhance my feature?
Any suggestions you might have will be very welcome and, once again,
apologies for contacting you out of the blue,
all the best
Johnny Black
