I got several responsed from my posting and will try to answer them all here.
Amie: I'm heading to KS this Wednesday and will check the Hutchinson
Library for the Rush Co., IN book and for additional Laforge/Lefforge
citations. I'll also look and see if there are any other IN county
histories with family mentioned. I won't be back home until Jan 20th, but
I'll let you know what I found.
Charlotte: About John L as son of Isaac: I found most of this information
in the World Family Tree CD disc, Volume I, Edition I Tree # 3137. I have
a print-out that shows Isaac father of John L. Going back now to confirm
this I don't find him on the CD-ROM. So where did I get him? Heaven
Knows. Since I just starting this, I am finding that some of my first
finds I didn't document well. Sorry, but I am getting better.
Patty: Yes, my ancestor if William Charles Lefforge and Elizabeth Tyner.
I show Elizabeth Tyner who married Charles LaForge the daughter of William
Tyner and his second wife Martha Hamilton. William had 9 children with his
first wife Elizabeth Hackleman and 5 with Martha. This information comes
from the LDS files. Marget Barthenia Lefforge was married to William
Robert Runyan 11 October 1871. He died in 1894. On 18 November 1897, she
married Samuel Gates and after he passed away married Samuel Bishop on 23
February 1911. She died 22 December 1911 at Maize, Sedgwick Co., KS. (This
info is from Maggies obituary I found in the Valley Center KS newspaper.)
She is burried as a Maggie Bishop, in the Maple Grove Cemetary in Wichita
KS. Funny this is, she is not with any of the other family. And my cousin
and I are still trying to find where William Robert is buried.
Family oral history says that Samuel Bishop was the half brother to William
Robert Runyan's mother, Sarah Jane Bishop. I have wondered if this Samuel
Bishop is the same man who married Maggie's sister Martha H. Lefforge. If
so, he is the brother of John B Bishop who married another sister,
