You said: "Hi I'm sorry but all of my LaForge family came Quebec, Canada and
settled in NJ around Patterson."
As I recall, Patterson is not to far from the Elizabethtown Purchase /
Passaic Valley area. My ggg grandfather, Levi Ruckman, d.16 Oct 1844,
abt1810 Warren, Somerset Co., NJ, Jane Leforge b. abt1795, daughter of
Abraham b. Bet. 1764 - 1776 in Somerset, NJ., wife unknown, Abraham
might have had other children, possibly including a daughter Harriet b.
4 Aug 1802.
If you are familiar with John Littell's "First Settlers of Passaic
Valley", Abraham is on pages 362 and 363 (descendants of Jonathan
Ruckman and Sarah Allen).
Do you have anything on Abraham, Jane or Harriet Leforge?

Am researching this line for my daughter.
Catherine Orvilla LAFORGE, is the great grandmother of my daughter, Diane
She married Raymond G. Hentzen around 1918. She was born about 1898 and
died in 1977, in Kansas City, MO.
This is about all that I have, and hope that someone can help me expand on
the ancestory of Catherine LaForge's family.
Thanks much, Peggy Ann Rowe-Snyder
