Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I don't have anything on your branch. My branch is from John
LaForge/Lefforge of Hunterdon Co, NJ. He went to Franklin Co, Indiana.
Do you know about the LaForge mailing list. The name was chosen as it's
about the most common spelling. Originally it was a onelist but now it's
rootsweb. There are several different branches represented and we are
interested in all of the LaForges regardless of spelling. I am sending
this cc to the group. One of them may know something about your Adrian.
You can subscribe to the mailing list by emailing:
On the subject line write just the word subscribe and also in the
message body. It's free and helps to network with the rest of us
frustrated LaForge researchers.
Inspite of years of research we still can't get John back any further
that New Jersey. There was a William LaForge in Hunterdon that was born
in 1810. We haven't been able to connect him to John. Perhaps he is
related to yours.
Thank you for writing.

I am receiving false error messages from YAHOO Geocities when I enter a
URL such as:
The message is Whoops! We can't find your page!
However, the page was already found and displayed for several seconds
Yahoo Geocities error message page replaces it. This also happens on
other Laforge links. If you hit the back arrow, the page you wanted is
redisplayed again, but the error page overlays it again. If you do this
enough times, you may be able to abstract a word or two each time. Since
the page was actually found, I'd say this was a Geocities problem.

I've had some problems with the geocities/yahoo sites since the merger.
However, I've had no problem bringing up the LaForge Family Resource
I didn't go into any of the links but will try them later today.

My main area of research is William LaForge. His parents were John L.
Lefforge and Mary Smith. William was married 4 times and only 3 of his
nine children are completely accounted for. You will find a full list of
his children and all the information about his parents, brothers and
sisters on Patty Onek's homepage called Patty's Holler:
I have posted a biograpy of William LaForge, his wives and children, and
what I know about them on the Burnet County, Texas genweb page.
Patty's homepage has complete information on all of the children of John
Lefforge and Mary Smith. My bio of William has every scrap of
information I have on William's marriages and children.
Hello LaForge researchers,
I am seeking the spouses, their birth, marriage, and death dates for the
children of John Lefforge (1766-1834) and Mary Smith (1773-1865)
Jacob C 1798
Mary Jane 1805
Sarah J 1807
William 1811-1903 this is my gggrandfather
Maybe this will jump start the list and get some information flowing.
