Looking for info... Antoine LaFleur came from Canada to Massachusetts to join the Union forces there in the 3rd Mass Infantry. The 3rd Mass infantry joined the seige on New Orleans and eventually the occupation there of where he met his Bride Ursule ??? and settled down and had a son named Atoine "Anthony T. La Fleur. He (still living in the New Orleans area) married Jeanne Nargaud. They had a son named Anthony Frank La Fleur who joined the Army in WWI and served in the 114th Infantry Company G. While on station at McClellan Army Base, he married an Alabama girl named Mattie Hester (my Great-Aunt). After he was gassed with mustard gass and returned from France, they settled again in New Orleans. He was unable to father children so he and his wife raised one of Mattie's nephews, Ralph Hester. If anyone is researching this family and can provide any additional information, sources, history or photo's would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You Russel E Hester revrehester(a)yahoo.com
