W. M. Lasyone Dies On Nov. 21
William M. Lasyone, 76 year old Pollock farrner, died Tuesday, Nov. 21 at
I0:30 a. m. in an Alexandria hospital. FuneraI services were held Thursday,
Nov. 23 at I0 a. m. from the Simms Pilgrim Holiness Church with the Rev S. V.
Reprogle, Howard Clark and Branch Jeane officiating. Burial was in the Dfy
Prong Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charles HoIlingsworth, Kenneth Hollingsworth, Ronnie Lowe,
Allen Crawford, Levell Mercer and W.E. Mercer.
The deceased was married to the former Jenny Duncan, who survives him. He was
a rnember of the Simms Pilgrim Holliness Church.
Other survivors include-. one son, Hansford Lasyone; five daughters, Mrs.
Layton Campbell, Mrs. Harry Mercer, Mrs. A. B. Crawford, all of Pollock,
Mrs. Benny Love of Welch and Mrs. George Carr of Jonesboro, Ark. four
brothers, Louis Lasyone of
Baton Rouge, Jewel Lasyone and M. C. Lasyone of Dodson and Arthur Lasyone of
West Monroe; one sister, Mrs. Louise Henderson of West Monroe; 19
grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
