» Caribbean ties unearthed in S.C.
The lives of 17th century Carolinians are being revealed in the fields
of Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site. The park's Archaeological
Program, in partnership with the University of South Carolina Institute
of Archaeology and Anthropology, continues searching for and finding
clues to South Carolina's beginning, which should be of interest to
Louisianians with ties to this part of the United States.
"Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you
didn't do, than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail
away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore,
Dream .."
-Mark Twain.......Our ancestors did this:)
