OBITUARY OF ANGELE CHICOINE, extracted by Eileen Horan, from the
February 5th 2004 edition of the Prince Albert Daily Herald: MRS ANGELE
CHICOINE -- It is with great sadness that we announce the passing a
loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother - Angele
Elizabeth Chicoine on Monday, February 2nd 2004, at the age of 79 years.
Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, February 6th, from
the River Park Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00
a.m. on Saturday, February 7th, from the St Louis Roman Catholic Church
by the Reverend Father Luc Gaudet.
The late Mrs Chicoine is survived by her loving family: her husband,
Gaston; her children: Richard [Pat] of Regina - Jean [Gary] - Paul
[Jaime] & Roberta, Victor (Sheena] of Victoria B.C. - Mischa (Carmen &
son, Rio] - Neil, Anna & Alysha, Greg (Annette of Saskatoon - Nolan
[Angela] - Curtis [Crystal and daughter, Brydan] - Blair & Shane,
Alan [Wendy] of Birch Hills - Aaron & Dale, Rupert [Donna] of Sherwood
Park, AB. - Joshua, Naomi & Michaela, Mark of Birch Hills SK.,
Marilyn [Bill] Lamoureux of Chetwynd B.C - Danielle, Elise & Stephanie;
her brothers and sister: Etienne (Simone) LeBlanc of Chetwynd B.C.,
Felicien [Millie] LeBlanc of Wetaskawin AB., Hortense [Jean] Cottin of
Regina SK., Donald LeBlanc of Domremy SK.; her brothers-in-law and
sisters in-law: Fernande [Robert] Ethier of Prince Albert, Claire
[Roger] Drouin of Saskatoon, Rita Perreault of Calgary AB., Roger
[Muriel] Chicoine of Hoey SK., Gerald Chicoine of Calgary AB., and Jean
Gareau of Prince Albert; her very special friend, Pauline Reynaud of
Wakaw; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hercules and Josephine [nee
Langlois] LeBlanc; her sister, Adelaide LeBlanc; her brother, Cyprien
LeBlanc; as well as several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Angele was born May 31st 1924 in St Isidore de Bellevue, Saskatchewan.
She married Gaston Chicoine on July 14th 1947 in Domremy, Saskatchewan.
They farmed east of Hoey until retiring, when they left the farm in
2001, to Wakaw. She enjoyed her garden, knitting and crafts. Angele will
be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and proud grandmothers. It is
the family's request that, those wishing to place memorials do so to the
Canadian Diabetes Association. Interment will take place in the Garden
of Gethsemane, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens Cemetery. River Park
Memorial Chapel entrusted with the care of funeral arrangements
