The marriage of Miss Ethel LeBlanc and Mr. Robert Bogan, was
beautifully solemnized on Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock,
nuptial mass at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Father
Colbert officiating. The church decorations were very lovely,
the alter being banked in palms and fern and vases of exquisite
roses and fern.
Lohengrin's wedding march, Mrs. H.C. Falcon, violin, and Mr.
Fourrier, organ, announced the arrival of the wedding party.
Mrs. J.Y. Miles, a sister of the bride, was matron of honor.
Her costume was a lovely creation of blue Georgette and lace
with as large Legghorn hate and she carried Killarney roses.
Other attendants of the bride were Mrs. Frank Nesom, her sister;
Miss Zoe Hoffman of Thibodeaux; Mrs. Lullie Theriot and Miss
Eula Barnett of Zachary. Mrs. Nesom's gown was of yellow
Georgette and lace and she carried Killarney roses and wore a
Leghorn hat with touches of yellow. Miss Hoffman was in yellow
Georgette with Leghorn hat and she carried Killarney roses. Mrs.
Theriot, a sister of the groom, wore a handsome lavender and
Georgette dress, with Leghorn hat and carried an arm bouquet of
Killarney roses. Miss Barnett was attractive in lavender Georgette,
with Leghorn hat and carried Killarney roses.
The groomsmen were John Miles, Sidney Williamson, Alfred Pecquet
and Joe Benton, who wore white.
Two dainty little maids, Misses Eola McCall and Eleanor Duncan,
wearing fetching little frocks of pink Georgette trimmed in rosebuds,
and with silver slippers, scattered rose leaves in the path of the
bride from slender French baskets with butterfly bows of pink tulle.
The groom was attended by Mr. King Strenake, who was best man. The bride
entered on the arm of her grandmother, Mrs. Amanda Hebert, whose
costume was of gray Canton crepe trimmed with lace with a sage of
Killarney roses. The bride was radiently lovely in her gown of white
Georgette and Dutchess lace, over crepe satin - her court train was
caught up on the shoulders with pearls and her veil of Illusion was
held in to her brow by a bandeau of pearls and sprays of orange
blossoms, her exquisite shower bouquet was of bride's roses and lilies
of the valley. During the signing of the register, Mr. D.I. Cazedessus
sang "Because".
An informal reception followed at the home of the groom's father, Mr.
R.H. Bogan, of Decatur street.
The reception suite was adorned with baskets and vases of Shasta daisies
and fern and the table, holding the exquisite wedding cake, was lovely
with white tulle and streamers of white satin ribbon.
The wedding gifts were handsome and included elegant silver and cut
glass.
Mr. and Mrs. Bogan left for New Orleans and points in Mississippi. Mrs.
