State of Louisiana
Parish of Claiborne
Known all Men by these presents that I John Miller Jr. of the Parish
of Claiborne State of Louisiana, farmer in consideration of $(220) two
hundred and twenty dollars to one paid by Frank Miller of the above
Parish and State, farmer the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
do hereby give, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Frank Miller
his heirs and assigns a certain parcel of land situated in said parish
and state bounded and described as follows to wit; East half of the
Northwest ¼ of Sec 14 Township (20) twenty north Range (8) Eight west
with all the ____ and assurances thereto belonging to have and to hold
the above granted premises to the said Frank Miller his heirs and
assigns
to his and that I am lawfully seized in fee simple of the afore granter
premises that they are free from all encumbrances that I have good right
to sell and convey the same to the said Frank Miller his heirs and
assigns
forever as afore said and that I will and my heirs executers and
administrators
shall warrant and defend the same to the said frank Miller his heirs and
assigns forever against the lawful claims and demands of all
persons, in witness whereof I the said John Miller Jr have
here unto set my hand and seal on this the 2nd day of January AD
1888, signed sealed and delivered in presence of the attesting
witnesses:

Before me this day appeared JJ Miller who in oath says he saw the
maker of the ___deed sign the same for the purposes, consideration
therein avowed that he W.M Miller signed it as witnesses now recognizes
