The Public School Teachers.
All of the various public Schools of the parish opened on the first
of this month. There were no changes made in the city schools, and
in the country most of the old teachers were retained.
The following is a revised list of the teachers in the different
schools of the country wards:
Third ward - Little Plains, Miss S.W. Brashear; Vauter's, Miss Lucy
Dupree; Pruyn's, Miss Anna Skolfield; Brookstown, Miss Hattie Miller.
Fourth ward - Zachary, Mr. E.V. Penny; Port Hudson, Rev. Jos. Healey;
