State of Louisiana
Parish of Claiborne
Know all men by these presents that William F. MILLER of the Parish
of Claiborne and State of Louisiana do hereby declare that for
the consideration of the sum and price herein after set forth,
have and do this day by these presents, grant, bargain, sell, transfer
convey, deliver with a full guarantee against all troubles, debts,
mortgages, claims or other encumbrances whatsoever unto James W.
MILLER of the above Parish and state, The following described
lands, situated in said Parish and State, to wit the North half
of the NW qr and the SW qr of the NW qr all in Sec 22 Township (20)
twenty Range (8) Eight West containing one hundred and twenty
acres more or less, with all the improvements thereon, and said
vendor hereby promises to warrant and defend the title to said
lands, against all legal claims and demands whatsoever,
subrogating said purchaser to all his rights and actions of
warrantee against all former vendors, This sale is made for and in
consideration of the sum and price of Three hundred and thirty
dollars cash in hand paid, recipt of which is hereby acknowledged
This done and singed in the presence of the attesting witnesses on
this the 8 day of Feb AD 1890
