Christopher Taylor
Christopher G. Taylor, 19, 0f Pineville, drowned in the Ouchita River about
seven miles south of Harrisonburg about 5:40 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 1990.
His body was recovered Monday morning from the river. Taylor was apparently
watching some people practice for an upcoming raft race on the river when
he apparently fell out of his boat.
Services for Taylor were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist
Church of Pineville with the Revs. Jimmy Pyles and James Brown,
officiating.
Burial followed in the Old Pentecostal Cemetery of Jena.
Taylor was a student as Louisiana Tech.
Survivors include his parents, Michael and Sandra Taylor of Pineville; one
sister, Jennifer Taylor of Pineville; one brother, Shawn Taylor of
Pineville; and maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ike Robertson of
Jonesville.
