Willie F. Stamper
Willie F. Stamper, 93, of Grayson, died Saturday, November 7, 1998, at the
St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe.
He was born in Caldwell Parish on July 5, 1905, to the union of Joel Avery
and Viola Hester Stamper.
A life-long resident of Caldwell Parish, he was a retired farmer and
logger. He was also a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 9, at Crossroads
Cemetery west of Grayson with interment under direction of Riser Funeral
home.
Survivors include three sons, C.R. Stamper of Tioga; W.O. Stamper of Olla;
and C.L. Stamper of Homer; three daughters, Evelyn Berry and Joyce Washer,
both of Grayson and Bonnie White of Eros; 15 grandchildren and a host of
great-grandchildren.
