James R. Tims, Sr.
James Raydell Tims, Sr., 46, of Georgetown, died Wednesday, August 26,
1998, at his residence.
He was a native of Winnfield and a logger.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, in the chapel of Southern Funeral
Home in Winnfield with the Rev. Lamar Carpenter officiating.
Interment followed in the Old Ramar Cemetery of Ashland under direction of
Southern, Winnfield.
Survivors include his wife, Donna G. Tims of Georgetown; four sons, James
Tims, Jr., Ted Tims, Timothy Tims, and Philip Tims, all of Jonesboro; six
daughters, Sugar Vines and Joyce Tims, both of Dodson, Candy Tims of
Simsboro, Cherry Tims and Sherry Tims, both of Jonesboro, and Jamie
Vallacchi of Georgetown; one brother, John Tims of Georgetown; and four
grandchildren.
Pallbearers were J. C. Allen, Glen Phillips, James Tims, Jr., Phillip Tims,
Samuel Tims, and Martin "Skete" Wilson.
