***** Upcoming SCN Training Conference - November 20th - New Orleans
****
Building New Collaborations Conference
Two years ago, the Southern Institute for Education and Research
embarked on
a project to link together organizations in the Deep South dedicated to
combating prejudice and inequality. The outcome is the SCN, the largest
anti-prejudice network in the Deep South, encompassing over 150
organizations and linking hundreds of activists together. SCN uses
training
and resource sharing to build strong inclusive communities that respect
diversity and pluralism. The conference is open to leaders, activists,
and
students who are committed to strengthening or joining this work. The
Conference will create opportunities for new collaborations and provide
both
topical seminars and skills-building workshops led by nationally-known
and
community leaders across the region.
Conference Workshops Include:
Learning to Lobby, Get that Grant, Media Moguls, Coalition Building,
