Albert E. Shows
Funeral services for Albert Shows were held at 10 a.m. Friday,
December 1, 1995 in the Harmony Primitive Baptist Church, Dry Prong, LA.
Officiating were Elders R.J. Wade and Wayne Painter and Lic. Richard D.
McLain. Burial followed in the Mars Hill Cemetery near Verda, LA under
the direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield.
Mr. Shows, age 82 of Atlanta, LA died at 6 a.m. Wednesday, November 29,
1995 in the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. He was a
native of Jackson Parish and was a member of the Harmony Primitive
Baptist Church and a deacon. He was a farmer and retired from the Winn
Parish Police Jury.
Survivors are his wife, Emma F. Shows of Atlanta, LA; one son, Ernest
Shows of Atlanta, LA; three daughters, Dorothy Hines of Pollock, LA,
Mary Wilkinson of Ruston, LA and Julia McLain of Montgomery, LA; one
sister Bertie Lee Deen of Atlanta, LA, 12 grandchildren and 21 great
grandchildren.
