Buford E. Lashley

WINNFIELD, La. - Funeral services for Buford E. Lashley, 59, of Winnfield=
, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Mars Hill Baptist church
with Rev. C.C. Martin and Rev. Glynn Griffin officiating. Burial was in
the Mars Hill Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Lashley, a bookkeeper and former member of the Winn Parish Police Jury,
died Sunday in a Winnfield hospital after a short illness.
He is survived by his widow; three sons, Buford Elmo Lashley,
James Harold Lashley and Walter Wayne Lashley, all of Winnfield;
two daughters, Mrs. J. D. Snead of Moab, Utah, and Mrs. C. W. Jones
of Winnfield; a brother, J. H. Lashley of Alexandria; three sisters,
Mrs. Ella Guilliams of Winnfield, Mrs. Annie Dean [Deen] and Mrs. Jim
Corbit [Corbett], both of Montgomery, and four grandchildren.
(Submitter's note: Mr. Lashley died December 24, 1961. Surviving
spouse was Mrs. Bermie Shows Lashley.)
