Eula L. Simmons
VERDA - Services for Eula L. Simmons will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Verda
Baptist Church. Burial will be in Verda Cemetery under direction of
Hixson Bros., Alexandria.
Mrs. Simmons, 75, of Verda died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday in Rapides General
Hospital, Alexandria.
She was a member of Verda Baptist Church and a native of Verda. She
retired after 42 years as postmistress of the Verda post office.
Survivors include her husband, J.M. Simmons of Verda; four sons,
James Simmons, Charles Simmons, Kenneth Simmons and Glenn Simmons, all
of Verda; two daughters, Elaine Deen of Verda and Eleanor Sheffield of
Montgomery; and numerous grandchildren.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today and until [time] of services Monday
in the church.
