Personally came and appeared Mr Leon Demoruelle, and Mr. O.Young,
who first by me being duly sworn depose and say:
That they are very well acquainted with Mrs. Marie Louise Derosier,
widow of the late Ermile Lafleur, a resident of the Parish of
Evangeline;
that at the time she was married to the said Ermile Lafleur, that is
to say, on the 28th day of May 1895, a license was obtained by the
said Ermile Lafleur to marry "Miss Marie Josephine Derosier"; that in
giving her name as such an error was made by the said Ermile Lafleur
for the reason that in truth and in fact her name was "Marie Louise
Derosier"; that Marie Josephine Derosier and Marie Louise Derosier are
to their positive knowledge one and the same person.
This affidavit is made by affiants for the purpose of correcting this
discrepency in her name in order that she might obtain a pension as
the widow of the Confederate Veteran Ermile Lafleur, now deceased.
