Harold Drewett Released from Army; 105 Points
S/Sgt Harold Drewett, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. U. Drewett of Winnfield
was released May 13 from service in the U. S. Army at Camp Shelby,
Miss., under the demobilization point system with a total of 105
points. He was among the first group eligible for discharge.
Overseas three years, from January 15, 1942, until February 25, 1945,
S/Sgt. Drewett took part in three campaigns, the battle of Normandy,
Northern France and Germany. His awards include the bronze star and the
good conduct medal.
