Mrs. Ben Babcock Buried At Olla February 20th
Mrs. Ben Babcock, 49 years, 2 months and 3 days , died at her home
in Urania Wednesday, February 19, 1936, following a weeks
illness with pneumonia. Funeral services were conducted Thursday
afternoon by the Rev. J. D. Kitchingham of Columbia and the Rev. E.
M. Daffin, pastor Olla Baptist church. Interment was in the Olla
Cemetery.
Mrs. Babcock was born at Beech Creek, Winn parish, the daughter of
Mrs. Sara Tullos, and the late George Tullos. She resided in this
parish practically her entire life time except for the past several
years in Urania. She joined the Baptist church at Beech Creek in her
youth and her membership was there when she succumbed.
Surviving are: the husband, and one son, Milton, of Urania; her
mother, Mrs. Sara Tullos, two brothers, Russell and Quintin Tullos
and four sisters; Mrs. Joyce Pasco, Mrs. Emma James, Mrs. Gracie McMurry
and Miss Theresa Tullos.
