"MRS. KEOUN SUCCUMBS TO ILLNESS HERE"
Mrs. Grace Christian Keoun, 69, wife of Robert C. Keoun Sr., died
Tuesday at 3:40 p.m. in the Physicians and Surgeons Hospital after a
short illness.
Mrs. Keoun, a native of Shreveport and an active member of the First
Presbyterian Church, lived at 3761 Bobbit St.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First
Presbyterian Church Chapel, with Dr. William A. Benfield, pastor,
officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, of Shreveport, one son, Robert C.
Keoun, Jr. of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Hamel of Shreveport
and Mrs. Alfred Nicolas of Berkeley, Calif.; one brother, Charles
Christian of Shreveport, and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Clarence Hamel, Christian Hamel, Dr. Leon J.
Bain, Leonard L. Barnes, William C. Clark, Jr. and Charles Hamel.
She was a member of the Colonial Dames of America's Chapter 6, and
the Women's Department Club, and was a past regent of the Pelican Chapter
of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was honored by the "Women of the Church" of the First
Presbyterian Church with a life membership for her service.
Osborn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.
