Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

DAVID JOHNSTON b. 1790 in Georgia d. 1852 in Plaquemines Parish -m- HANNA FREDERIKA HOFFMANN b. 22 Nov. 1822 d. 10 Mar. 1898. They had one son ALEXANDER HENRY JOHNSTON b. 1841 d. 17 June 1869. He married MAGDALENA (SHERWOOD/KISEL) b. 1845 d. 12 Sept. 1898. They had 3 children Walter Javes b. 1863, Hanna b. 1865, DAVID MCCOY b. 1867 d. 12 Sept. 1919. David -m-MARY HOERNER b. 1867 d. 1954. They had 5 sons: David Valentin, Herbert, Milton, Edward, & ALEXANDER HENRY b. 1888 d. 1944. ALEXANDER HENRY -m- LAVINE DOCLAUR b. ? d. 1936. They had 4 children: Alexander Henry, Lavine, Mary &
EDWARD JAMES b. 1919 d. 1964.

SOPHIE HOFFMANN b. 1838. She married ISAAC SPROUL(E) b.Maine
d. Plaquemines Parish. They had two sons: Isaac b. 1858 and Hesse Holland b. 1860. Sophie married AUGUSTUS WEISHEIMER after Isaac's death and 4 more children: Matthew, Walter, Estelle, Laura. By 1880, the family had packed up and moved to Merced Co., California. Then from there they moved to San Francisco then to Napa Co. Sophie died in San Francisco between 1901 & 1909.
