Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Hi! New to this list, so please bear with me, Joseph Pinzini (Pinzina)
and Margherite Bila came to New Orleans from Sicily in 1893 or 1898 to
work on a coffee or tobacco plantation. How would I go about finding out
which ship they arrived on? Or if they had stopped at another port
first? And, does anyone know about the practice f plantation owners
paying passage for Italian immigrants? Thank you.
He was Antonio Guiseppi Maria Miranda , called Joe. Born March 30, 1859 in
Madrid ,Spain. Wife> Mary Quartana Miranda. Born in Palermo, Italy. ca.1854.
They came to America , from Palermo in 1899. ,Peter Age 4 on arrival to
US. nicknamed TINY . Other children were Corrine, James or Jimmy, Anthony
or Tony ,who married Nora Devillier, and Frank who died shortly after WW1 .
Tony and Nora 's daughter June married a Cacio. They all lived in
Louisiana. Some Baton Rouge or near.
