1991, after apparently suffering a heart attack at his home.

JAMES S. FRAZIER
James S. Frazier, 64, of Pollock, died at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 24,
1991, in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Alexandria.
He was a retired shipping clerk for Hemingway Furniture Store. He was
a native of Trout and a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church near
Jena.
He was a veteran of World War II where he served aboard the USS Alabama
in the Pacific for three years. He was also a member of the Disabled
American Veterans.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Hixson
Brothers Funeral Home in Pineville.
Burial followed at Pine Grove Cemetery near Jena under direction of
Hixson Brothers, Inc.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Smith Frazier of Pollock; one son,
Monty James Frazier of Monroe; one daughter, Connie Zeagler of Olla; his

JENA MERCHANT DIED MONDAY; SERVICES TODAY
Karyn Frazier Moss, 34, of Jena, died early Monday morning at St.
Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria where she was taken after apparently
suffering a heart attack at her home.
Karyn and her husband, Jerry, owned and operated Kay's Audio in Jena.
She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Karyn was born April 5, 1963, in Alexandria to the union of James (J.
D.) Frazier and Barbara Randell Frazier.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the chapel of
Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home in Jena with the Revs. Byron Norris and
Bill Cotton Officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hurricane Creek Cemetery at White Sulphur
Springs under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc., of Jena.

FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR FRED HINDMON AT BELAH YESTERDAY
Funeral services were held yesterday at the Belah Methodist Church for
Fred Hindmon of Trout, who was accidentally electrocuted Monday in Baton
Rouge while working.
Death came for the 31-year-old Halliburton Oil Well Cementing company
employee as he was cleaning his vehicle with a machine found to have a
faulty switch. Efforts by fellow workers to revive him were unsuccessful.
Rev. Larry Walker and Rev. O. G. Cannon officiated at the funeral and
arrangements were under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home.
Hindmon is survived by his wife, Ruby; his father and mother, Mr. and
Mrs. Roy Hindmon of Trout; and one brother, James Hindmon of Goon Bay,
Labrador.
Interment was in the Belah cemetery.

Seva Bobby Frazier, 35, of Jena, died in an Alexandria hospital
Wednesday morning as a result of a heart condition that had caused him to
enter the hospital last Thursday.
Frazier had worked at the Jena Pharmacy since 1946. He finished high
school at Jena high and served in the Navy during World War II prior to
working at the drug store.
Services will be conducted today (Thurs.) At 3 p.m., from the Oak
Ridge Baptist church with the Rev. Larry Walker officiating. Interment will
be in Belah cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers funeral home of
Jena.
Survivors include Frazier's mother, Mrs. Rosa Hudson of Jena; two

Mrs. Eunice Josephine Hindmon, 57, a resident of Midway, died at 3:10
a.m. Tuesday, December 29, 1959 in the Jena hospital.
Mrs. Hindmon had been a resident of Midway 30 years and was a member
of the Oak Ridge Baptist church.
Services for Mrs. Hindmon were held at the Oak Ridge Baptist church at
10 a.m., Wednesday, December 30. The Revs. L. N. Walker and Walter Stone
conducted the services. Interment followed in the Belah cemetery with
arrangements being made by Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena.
Surviving Mrs. Hindmon was her husband, Roy Hindmon; one son J. C.

Chester Franks Dies After Brief Illness
Funeral services for Chester Franks, 63, of Winnfield, will be held at=20
2 p.m. Thursday in the Sanders Chapel Methodist Church near Calvin with=20

Mr. Franks was in road construction and a member of Sanders Chapel=20
Methodist Church.
