Some of my relatives (La Chapelles) lived for a time in Littlefork,
Minnesota. Do you know where Elmer Earl La Chapelle was born or where else
he lived? Do you know the name of Elmers father and where he was born or
lived? -Ted La Chapelle (LaChapelTJ(a)aol.com)
My son in law is Anthony Andre LaChapelle. His father was Elmer Earl LaChapelle b. 28 May 1907, D. 22 Aug 1990. He was married to Helen Virginia Padelford. They lived in or near St. Paul MN. Can anyone help me? I sincerely appreciate your time.

Hello Erike, I'm related to you our grandfathers were brothers, his name was Walter and our greatgrandfather's name was Joseph Bud was only a nickname. If I can be any help to you feel free to get in touch. GOOD LUCK
I believe my Lachapelle line came from St. David and St. Michel, Yamaska, QP.
All I have is a Joseph or Louis Lachapelle married a M. Louise Martineau
sometime around late 1840's to 1850, I believe. Does anyone have family from
The La Chapelles who lived in the Jolliette region north of Montreal in the
1700s and 1800s had many brothers, sisters and cousins. Unfortunately most
of the descendants of Andre are from a different lineage from mine. In spite
of some similar names, Joseph Langlois dit La Chapelle the son of
Jean-Baptiste and Louise Forest is not the same as my Joseph the son of
Jean-Baptiste and Marguerite Froment unless Jean-Baptiste was married twice.
Anyway, good luck on your search.

Louis LACHAPELLE was born ca.1847, in St. Thomas, Quebec Province.
He was a cotton mill worker in Canada [not sure where exactly] in 1880.
Louis married Adelaide RANVILLE, also of Canada.
Their first child, also Louis, was born ca.1869 in Voluntown, CT., USA.
I have been trying to find any relations of Louis LACHAPELL & Adelaide
from the St. Thomas area. I am also interested in the town of St.
Thomas. Where there
cotton mills in that area in 1840's? Any links/information would be most
