Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
We are out here, but not too active yet. We are just getting started. We
have 18 subscribers now to the single e-mails and 3 subscribers to the
I think most of us are busy during the summer (vacationing, yard work,
etc.), so activity is at its low. We are caring for grandchildren at our
home who are living with us since April, so I have not been able to do much
other than moderate the 12 Discussion Lists that I have. We have some fine
researchers on this list, so if you have questions please feel free to post
them. They may be able to help you.
Hopefully you accessed the homepage mentioned below to find other LABOYTEAUX
information. If you haven't ordered the booklets available from
researchers, these would be a great beginning also. These are copyrighted,
so unless you have your own information we cannot copy information from the
booklets for use on this site...only the authors can share this information.
We are fortunate to have them as members of our Discussion List. However,
if you have your own pension records, wills, etc. in your possession, you
are free to share information from your private research. Also, you may wish
to subscribe to the LABOYTEAUX Newsletter. All this information can be
found on the LABOYTEAUX-LABERTEAUX-LABOYTEW Homepage at:
If you would like to share your LABOYTEAUX lineage as you know it or post
your "brick wall" query, please do so.
I posted earlier today how one could access the new ROOTSWEB archives and if
you note "taglines" as they come through on messages, there are also other
If anyone has a LABOYTEAUX family connected homepage or know of one, please
let us all know.
Hope everyone is enjoying the summer.

>hello! is anyone out there?
You may wish to access this new RootsWeb & GenConnect site that makes it
easier to locate and research information that has appeared on the
LABOYTEAUX surname. This also makes the LABOYTEAUX Discussion List archives
more easily accessible. This site is still being developed by RootsWeb, so
you may not be able to gain access time to time, but it is operational and
these new resources are being implemented.
Good Luck in your searches.
