Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Obituary for Elmer Profitt
Elmer Profitt, age 90, of Middletown, passed away Wednesday morning, October 11, 2017 at his home. He was born June 10, 1927 in Campton, Kentucky, the son of Harvey and Amanda (Roberts) Profitt. Elmer worked as an electrician for General Motors, retiring in 1995. He loved his family, vacationing and gardening. Elmer was a gadgeteer, inventing the first remote car starter. He also built one of the first Benson Gyrocopters in the area. Elmer was an Army Veteran.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Bertha Jeanne Siewny, Ethel Kennedy and Margie Rose; and two brothers, Wendell Profitt and David Profitt.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rosa (Ingram) Profitt; two daughters, Jennifer (husband, Mike) Haker and Kimberly (husband, Mark) Robinson; four grandchildren, Holly ( husband, Tom) Sarver, Michael (wife, Kelsey) Haker, Nicholas (fiancé, Emily Search) Robinson and Kelly Robinson; two great grandchildren, Ava and Harper Sarver; and a brother, Luther Profitt.
The family is thankful for the wonderful support Elmer received from Hospice caregivers Julia, Whitney, Jeanine, Patricia, James and Lorna.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the St. Luke Presbyterian Church with Reverend Richard Sedgwick officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time, Saturday at the church.
Burial will follow at Woodside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke Presbyterian Church.

Obituary for Judy G. McIntosh
Judy G. McIntosh, 76, of Wayne Township, died Thursday, October 5, 2017, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Campton, Kentucky on June 24, 1941 to parents Reese and Lucille (Faulkner) Oliver.
Judy devoted her time to making a loving home for her husband and children. She was a member of the Monroe Church of God.
Mrs. McIntosh is survived by her husband, Mitchell McIntosh; daughters, Thelma (Tim) Bruce, Linda (Jeff) O'Risky, Angela (Monte) Davis & Julie (Dave) Crace; mother, Lucille Clemmons; brothers, Orson (Kathy) Oliver & Reese (Marcia) Oliver; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; as well as many other loving family & friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Reese Oliver.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 9, 2017 at 10:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown with Reverend Terry Ball officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.

Kidd, Charles K., age 78, of Middletown, passed away Wednesday, October 04, 2017 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born January 23, 1939 in Hazel Green, KY to Dewey and Mabel (Nickel) Kidd. He served our country in the US Army with an honorable discharge. He was a supervisor of Water Distribution for the City of Middletown for 30 years, retiring in 1995. Charles was a past member of Yankee Road Church of God and Mason in Hazel Green, KY.
Charles is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patty (Keith) Kidd; children, Mark (Jean) Kidd, Becky Adams (Sherman) and Jordan (Kaleigh) Kenyon; grandchildren, Angela Bell, Kyle Grewe, Jaylynn Clouse; two great grandchildren Carrissa Bell and Jessie Grewe; brothers, James (Shirley) Kidd, Wendel (Shirley) Kidd; sisters, Wilda Dennis, Janet King; K-9 Companion, Bodie.
He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Jessica Sorrell; brother, Johnny Kidd; sister, Bernice Carson. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 12:00-2:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown, OH 45005.
