Obituary for Robert Kash
Kash, Robert S., age 75, of Middletown, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Hospice of Butler and Warren County. He was born on June 23, 1941 in Wolfe County, Kentucky to Buford and Margie (Daulton) Kash. Shelby was a pipefitter for General Motors. He retired in 1997 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed many activities and hobbies throughout his life. Hunting, bows, golfing and bowling were just to name a few. He took great pride in his yard and made sure that it was well taken care of almost daily. He and his little Yorkie companion, Meg, loved being outdoors. Meg followed him everywhere and stayed by his side during his illness. Shelby would go to Brookville, Indiana and camp frequently. This brought him a great deal of joy. Shelby was an avid University of Kentucky basketball and an Ohio State University football fan. He was completely dedicated to those teams. He could have conversations for days about Kentucky and Ohio State. Shelby truly loved the game of sports! Shelby would like to let you know that his work here is done. He received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with his family, especially his daughter Christie, in which he has not seen in a very long time. She was waiting and welcomed him into Heaven. Robert is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara (Fouts) Kash; son, Rob (Marnie) Kash of Middletown; daughter, Tina (Russ) Kash-Lawson of Middletown; son-in-law, Tony Hamilton of Middletown; grandchildren, Michelle Yarber, Jennifer (Tony) Riley, Christina Yarber, Amanda Lyons, Samantha Yarber, Cory Klapper, Shelbi Hamilton, Brandon Hamilton, Makenna Kash; many great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; brother, Arthur (Gail) Kash of Middletown; sister, Flora (Jim) Arnold of Middletown; sister-in-law’s, Joyce Fouts, Nancy Petticrew and Cynda Kash. A special friend to the family, Mary Powers. He is preceded in death by his parents and in-laws; daughter, Christie Kash Hamilton. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 12:00-2:00 at First Christian Church, 4520 Rosedale Road, Middletown, Ohio 45042. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm at the church with Pastor Nic Donges officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
