Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
HOUNSHELL, Sylvia Jane Age 90, of Carlisle, Ohio, died Friday March 6, 2015 at Hospice of Butler-Warren Counties. She was born in McKee, Kentucky on March 22, 1924 to George and Cinda (Ogens) Shelton. She was employed with Servomation for 10 years before retiring. She was preceded in death by her father, George Shelton, mother, Cinda Shelton, husband, Albert L. Hounshell, and 7 brothers and sisters; 2 step sons Bill and Bob Hounshell. Sylvia is survived by her two daughters, Shirley Binkley, Joyce Saylor; three sons, Arnold R. Taulbee, C B. Taulbee, J.C. Taulbee; three step sons Carl, John, Jimmy Hounshell; 15 grandchildren; a host of great and great great grandchildren; sister, Sharon Friend; and brother, Forest Shelton. Funeral services are 2:00 pm Thursday March 12, 2015 at Anderson Funeral Homes 1357 East Second Street Franklin, Ohio with Reverend Michael Bailey officiating. Obituary for Charles Brewer
Brewer, Charles E., age 74, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Kettering Hospital in Franklin. He was born September 26, 1940 in Wolfe County, KY to Thomas Jefferson and Olive (Fultz) Brewer. He graduated from Wolfe County High School in Kentucky in 1958. He served our country in the US Navy during peace time with an honorable discharge. He was a pipefitter for General Motors for 31 years, retiring October 1, 1996. Charles joined Cincinnati Dayton Drive Away at Adesa in Franklin in September 2011 delivering auction cars to and from the auction. He leaves behind a great many friends there. Charles was a faithful member of Grace Gospel Baptist Church in Carlisle, Ohio and he was the treasurer and the adult Sunday School Teacher. He leaves behind an extended church family. He also loved to golf with friends and was a Ranger at the Jamaica Run Golf Club. He loved to be outdoors and work in the yard of the church as well at home in his own yard and grew a garden every year. He was also very proud of his roses to which a great many of people received. Charles is survived by his wife of 50 years, Izetta (Cope) Brewer; daughter, Angela (Dallis) Prater Jr. of Carlisle; son, Scott Brewer and girlfriend, Tina Clayton of Franklin; brothers, Kenny (Billie Jean) Brewer of Trenton, Reed Brewer of Hazelgreen, KY, Wayne (Christine) Brewer of Middletown, David Brewer of Stanton, KY; sister, Katherine Landrum of Hazelgreen, KY; sister-in-law, Ada Brewer of Franklin and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas “Rennie” Brewer; sisters, Eva Fox and June Brewer. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 11:00-1:00 pm at Grace Gospel Baptist Church in Carlisle, Ohio. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:00 pm at the church with Pastor Mike Worrell officiating. Interment will be at Woodhill Cemetery with Middletown Combined Honor Guard Services.
