Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
LYKINS, Charles E. age 81, of Fairborn, passed away Sunday May 19, 2013. He was born March 19, 1932 in Campton, KY, the son of the late Orville and Lillie Mae (Jenkins) Lykins. Charles retired from the City of Fairborn in 1994 after 30 years of service and he attended Victory Temple in Fairborn. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Leonard; a sister, Leona; two brothers-in-law, Eugene Adkins and Robert "Bobby" Blankenship; and a sister-in-law, Mazie "Betty" Storms. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Barbara; a daughter Loretta "Lori" (James) Denney of Fairborn; three grandchildren, Lisa, Michael, Megan; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Carles Lykins of KY; brothers-in-law, Bennie (Helen) Blankenship of New Carlisle, Billy (Sheila) Blankenship of Dayton; sisters-in-law, Letha "Bonnie" Lovejoy of Dayton, Clara McCardle of IN, and Edna Mae Blankenship of KY; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday May 24, 2013 at 12:00 noon in the Victory Temple, 2443 Valle Greene Dr., Fairborn, Pastor Ancil Carter and Pastor Tim Walden officiating. TRENT, Eddie R. age 58, of Springboro, Ohio, died Wednesday May 15, 2013 at Southview Hospital. Eddie was born in Wolfe County, Kentucky on July 15, 1954 to John and Gladys (Sumner) Trent. Eddie was employed with High Concrete Tecnologies for 17 years . Eddie was preceded in death by parents Father, John Trent, Mother, Gladys Trent, Daughter, Christina Trent. Eddie is survived by his wife of 29 years Sherry (Lambright)Trent, sister Jean Roseberry,brothers David Trent, Kelly Trent, Wes Trent, and Sheila Gibbs, daughter Jennifer Trent, sons Shawn Trent, Josh Oliver, and mother-in-law Nancy Lambright. BANKS, James J. "Jay" Age 85, formerly of Middletown, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Otterbein Retirement Community where he had resided for one year. He was born March 25, 1928 in Wolfe County, Kentucky. He was employed as an industrial painter for Local 249 for 30 years, retiring in 1983. Jay was a former member of Moose Lodge 501. Preceding him in death were his parents, Eli and Sarah (Miller) Banks; his wife, Henrietta Banks in 2011; one son, Gerald Wayne Russell; four brothers, Willie, Robert, Elmer and Eli Banks; and three sisters, Rachel Brate, Hazel Booth and Viola Wagers. He is survived by one son, Darrell J. Banks, wife Cindy; two daughters, Pamela K. Banks and Brenda S. Banks; one step son, Gary Abercrombie; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one sister, Sarah Wireman, husband Gordon. Visitation will be Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by services at 12:00 noon with Dr. Dan Flory officiating.
