McQUINN, Seldon F. age 82, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Monday,
January 30, 2012 at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. He was born May 30,
1929 in Pine Ridge, Kentucky and moved to Middletown as a teenager. He
served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and was employed in
the Zinc Grip Department at Armco Steel, retiring in 1992. Seldon was a
member of the American Legion Post 218 and attended the Towne Blvd. Church
of God. Preceding him in death were his parents, French and Lizzie Lou
(Brewer) McQuinn; one son, Seldon F. McQuinn, Jr.; and one brother,
William Cecil McQuinn. He is survived by the mother of his children and
his caretaker, Violet McQuinn; three children, Linda Ashley and husband
Rannie, Heath McQuinn, and Heather Glaize and husband Dale; his
daughter-in-law, Teresa McQuinn; five grandchildren, Joshua McQuinn,
Melissa Turner and husband Steven, Victoria Ashley, Haley McQuinn and
Linzie Glaize; two great granddaughters, Lydia Grace Turner and Julia
Faith Turner; one sister, Beulah Vest and husband Vernon; special cousin,
Tom Brewer; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday,
February 3, 2012 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral
Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by services at 1:00 p.m. with
Reverend Mitchell Burch officiating. Interment will be at Woodside
Cemetery, Middletown, with military services by the Middletown Combined

STANTON - George Timothy Graham, II, 65, of Stanton, KY and formerly of
Wolfe County, KY, departed this life Thu, Jan 26, 2012 at his residence.
He was a son of the late George Timothy, I, and Lillian "Lee" Tyra Graham,
born at Dayton, OH on Sep 19, 1946. He retired from Rockwell Manufacturing
Company, and was a United States Army Veteran having served in Germany at
the end of the Vietnam Era. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother
and uncle. He is survived by one son, George Timothy Graham, III, and wife
Bethany, of Harrodsburg, KY; one daughter, Jessica Graham-Pittman of
Stanton, Ky.; two grandsons, Ryan Graham and Tyler Pittman; one
granddaughter, Skyler Pittman; four brothers, Steve Graham of Stanton, KY,
Daniel Graham of Paris, KK, Stanley Graham of Corbin, KY, and David Graham
and wife, Judy, of Campton, KY; seven sisters, Shirley Graham, Betty Spain
and husband, Bobby, and Brenda Graham-Lindon, all of Lexington, KY,
Beverly Cammack and husband, John, of Lawrenceburg, KY, Patricia Young and
husband, Kenny, of Berea, KY, and Loretta Spencer and Delphia Graham, both
of Winchester, KY; and a large number of nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by his parents, George Timothy, I, and Lillian "Lee"

GILBERT, George Lee age 81 of Miamisburg, passed away Friday, January 20,
2012. He was born September 9, 1930 in Wolfe County, Kentucky, the son of
the late George & Ezell Gilbert. Mr. Gilbert was retired from General
Motors with 45 years of service, worked for many years at Walmart, and was
a member of the Full Gospel Outreach. Preceded in death by 4 brothers and
a sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Winnie (Langdon)
Gilbert, his son Danny Gilbert, 2 daughters Darlene Gilbert
Horn-Grossmann, Pruda Mullins and husband Rick, his brother Mort Gilbert
and wife Elizabeth, 2 grandchildren Christopher M. Horn, Eddie Grossmann,
and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Funeral services
will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 12 Noon from the SWART &

MT STERLING - Fern Brewer Tolson, widow of Clyde Tolson, passed away Thu.
She was an 83 year old native of Wolfe Co., daughter of the late Bernie
and Rhoda Trent Brewer, a housewife and a member of the Christian faith.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Brenda Tolson of Paris and Debbie (Mike)
Conkright of Jeffersonville; 2 sons, A.C. Tolson of Paris and Douglas
(Sheila) Tolson of Mt. Sterling; 3 grandchildren, Chris and Travis
Conkright and Nikki (Dustin) Hensley; and a sister, Bernice (Mort) Havens
of Mt. Sterling. Her funeral will be 1pm Wed at Herald & Stewart Home for

Ralph Drake, age 75 of Vandalia, passed away suddenly on January 17, 2012
as a result of an automobile accident in Louisville, Kentucky. Ralph was
born in Campton, Kentucky on September 18, 1936. He was a graduate of
Wolfe County High School and Eastern Kentucky University. He was a retired
accountant for Delphi and Inland Manufacturing. Ralph was also a United
States Army veteran. He is survived by his wife Beverly, three daughters
and sons-in-laws, Tracy and Scott Uzzel of Tipp City, Teri and Joe Woods
of Cincinnati, and Jeanne and Joe Rankin of Clarkston, Michigan, six
grandchildren, Jack and Abby Rankin, Andy and Allie Uzzel and Elizabeth
and Nick Woods, one sister, Bonnie Carr, and one brother, Bill Drake. He
was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Malvra Drake, five
brothers, Verner, Edward, Lester, Kernell and Herrington Drake, and two
sisters, Geneva Tyra and Golden Brown. Funeral services will be held at
1:00 pm Tuesday, January 24 at The First Baptist Church of Vandalia, 145
Elva Ct. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of
service. Burial immediately following at Willow View Cemetery. In lieu of

MURRAY Golden Goldie Drake Brown, 90, of Murray, formerly of Madison
Heights, Mich., died Thursday at her home.
Mrs. Brown was a member of Westside Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, William Bill Brown; two sons, Robert
Brown of Murray and Ronnie Brown of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; four
grandchildren; one sister, Bonnie Carr; and two brothers, Ralph Drake and
Billy Joe Drake.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Her parents
were Charlie and Malvra Drake.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Heritage Family Funeral Home. The
Rev. Kerry Lambert will officiate. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery
in Lynn Grove.

I just received a call, Ralph, his wife Bev and sister Bonnie were on
their way back to Ohio when the wind blew the 18 wheeler over near
Louisville and they were in a chain reaction accident. Ralph was killed
instantly, wife Bev in serious condition in a Louisville Hospital,
MAY, Betty Lou age 76, of Camden, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at her
residence. She was born September 18, 1935 in Campton, Kentucky, the
daughter of Ballard Taylor and Bessie (Rose) Taylor. She is survived by
three sisters, Virginia (Ed) Pence, Lilly Morgan, Bonnie Nealis; and
nieces and nephews, W.F. and Linda Adkins, Packy Graham, Shelia Moore,
Regina Greene, and Betty Wiseman. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Eugene May and a nephew, Gary Graham. Funeral services will be
2:00 PM Thursday at the Breitenbach-McCoy- Leffler Funeral Home with Dr.
Terry Rolen officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service
