BUSH Edna Booth, widow of Claude Everett (Gravy) Bush departed this life
on Feb 26th, 2010. She was born in Fixer, KY on Aug 16, 1915, the fifth
child born to the late George W. and Dixie Crabtree Booth and is
survived by three sisters: Lula Begley, Mildred Evans, Betty Isaacs and
one brother, Woodrow Booth. Three brothers and three sisters preceded
her in death. She was the loving mother of three daughters: Jennie
Murray (Rod) of Nashville, TN, Brenda Campbell (Bill) of Zachariah, KY
and Dixie Bumgardner (Darrell) of Campton, KY. Six grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren enriched and blessed her life. Edna was a member of
the Zoe First Church of God and Lee County Homemaker's. Newnam Funeral
Home, Beattyville, KY will be in charge of the arrangements. The funeral
service will be on Mon, Mar 1, at 11am at Zoe First Church of God, Zoe,
KY with Rev. James Combs officiating. Visitation will be at the church
on Sun, Feb 28 from 5-7pm. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Shawn
Campbell, Lafe Murray, Taylor Murray, Shannon Foster, Ryan Campbell and

BRASHEARS, Jesse Lee age 80, of Franklin, OH; died Tuesday February 23,
2010 at Hospice of Butler/Warren Counties. Jesse was born in Campton, KY
on February 24, 1929 to Carl and Lucy (King) Brashears. He was formerly
employed with United Welding in Middletown and also Vulcan Manufacturing
in Glendale. Jesse was preceded in death by his wife Ora Lee Brashears
in 1997 and 8 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by 4 sons Jimmy L.

WOODS, Lena Geraldine Jerri age 81, passed away Wednesday, February 24,
2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Ellar Lou
Profitt and brothers, Merle and Kenneth Profitt. She is survived by her
husband, Pleasie "Woody" Woods, Jr.; daughter, Judy (Terry) Wilson;

Green, died at 8:05 a.m. Jan. 29, 2010, at his home. The Campton native was
born May 9, 1922. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in World War
II, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Campton for 60 years. He was
also a member of the National Rifle Association and a Kentucky Colonel. He
was a son of the late Mountie Lovelace and Bertha Center Lovelace. He was
preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Allene Hollon Lovelace. Funeral

George Glenn Pelfrey, 81, of Gainesville, Fla., passed away Jan. 23,
2010, at his daughter's home in Douglasville, Ga.
Mr. Pelfrey was born in Hazel Green, Ky., and moved to Gainesville in
1985 from Houston, Texas.
He graduated from Ashland High School in 1947 and Emory and Henry
College in Meadowview, Va. He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force
serving in the Korean War. He retired from IBM after 29 years and also
worked for C&O Railroad for more than three years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane S. Pelfrey; three brothers
and one sister.
He is survived by a daughter, Glyn Louise Pelfrey Earnhart (Jerry) of
Atlanta; son, Gregg Malcolm Pelfrey (Sharon) of Gainesville;
grandchildren, Janet Earnhart Mayo (Matthew), Shanna Earnhart and Gregg
J. Pelfrey (Angela) and two great-grandchildren.

RUDD, Melvin C. and Dorothy R. went home to be with the Lord on Saturday
January 30, 2010 at their residence. Melvin was born in Wolfe County, KY
on October 1, 1933 and Dorothy was born on November 1, 1939 in Duffield,
VA. Melvin was employed by General Motors for 30 years and they were
both self employed in the insulation business for 16 years. Melvin was a
Veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. Melvin is preceded
in death by his parents Dorsey C. and Goldie (Miller) Rudd, a sister
Christine Rudd Tolson, 2 brothers Mervin D. Rudd, Carl B. Rudd; Dorothy
is preceded in death by her parents Cora (Tyler) and Cart Bledsoe, 4
brothers Roy, Arthur, Harley, and Jack Bledsoe, 2 sisters Kate Burke,
Bernice Bledsoe. Melvin is survived by 3 brothers Garland Rudd North
Vernon, IN, Ottis Rudd of Carlisle, KY, Odus Rudd of Franklin; Dorothy
is survived by 2 brothers Elmer Bledsoe of Duffield, VA, Wade Bledsoe of
Duffield, VA, a sister Betty Tomlinson of Dayton, OH; and numerous
nieces and nephews. They will be greatly missed by Suvoyee, Teresa,
Tytuss, and Kodee Rudd, Stanlee, Amber, Zachary, Andrew, and Nathaneel
