I just received my copy of "Early and Modern History of Wolfe County".
I didn't find many of my relatives listed, the book is well worth the
$23.00 I paid
for it. It gives a discription of the area, how it was formed from four
and was named for Nathaniel Wolfe, then senator from the city of
Founding families as well as others who moved into the area are listed
with their histories. Union soldiers are listed with their dates of
entry. The book is 411 pages full of history
you won't find just anywhere. Family members submitted their family
histories and genealogies. The book was compiled by the Wolfe County
Woman's Club, Campton, Ky., published around 1959. Excellent reading.
Enjoyed every page.
