Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

List members there is nothing for you to worry about and nothing for
you to do, it is probably just an email problem for the person
looking after the day-to-day management of this list. Rest assured
that this does not mean that your list is in danger.

Hello, fellow list members. I have visited the Genforum sites often in the
past, as many people have, and have noticed that since Ancestry.com opened
their message boards, that there aren't very many people who post to the
Genforum sites any more.
Just wanted to let you know that you can still post messages to the Genforum
sites and they do notify you of replies to your messages by e-mail as they
used to do. I personally like the Genforum sites better as their search
engine for messages is more specific and doesn't pull up so many unwanted
