Hope all is going well for everyone
A really really really big thanks to Lynda for posting this.
I wrote a letter to the Sandra Howard listed on the DC and
I asked her to either write me or call me, she called me.
Here is what she told me. My brother had been in real
bad physical for quite sometime.
He was living with this Sandra Howards x husband
she was renting a room for Alfred to live in.
Sandra Howard is not and I repeat is not his sister.
She told me she only said that so she could get
him put into a rest home.
Evidentally he was living around the Houston area
for over 20 years.
She said he had some personal belongings she
would send to me.
So we'll see what happens next.

Subject: [KyPerryKnott] Hazard to Texas - Alfred Gene Combs
I'm sure most of you remember Jimmie "Crashedone" Combs. He was really
active in genealogy a few years back. And he is missed by all.
Jimmie had a half brother, Alfred Gene Combs, whom he had lost touch with
many many years ago and had wondered what ever happened to him.
Well, A few months ago I was looking for a death record on one of Jerry's
(my hubby) first cousins in Texas. While doing so I ran across a death
record for a Alfred Gene Combs and realized this must be Jimmie's half
I emailed Jimmie right away and he preceded to go through all the red tape
to get a copy of Alfred's death certificate. It took several months but he
finally got it.
Jimmie was kind enough to send me a copy and said I could transcribe it
for for any of you Combs researchers. So here it is.....
