Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Kriner, Vivian “Carol”, age 80, of Middletown, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Community. She was born May 5, 1937 in Hazard, KY to Charles and Laura (Deaton) Bush. She worked in dry cleaning at Gough Lamb. Carol was a member of Home Avenue First Church of God and served as secretary of the financial board at the church. She was a “Big Sister” to Kendra. Carol eloped with John – the love of her life of 54 years to Jellico, TN. She promised her mother she would finish school. She got her GED in 1990 along with her first grandson when he graduated high school. Her usual goodbyes always included “I love you mostest”. Carol is survived by her sons, John R. (Susan) Kriner, Randy (Stephanie) Kriner both of Middletown; daughter, Vickie (Doug) Smith of Trenton; grandchildren, Chad (Lisa) Smith, Eric (Christy) Smith, Alex Smith, John T. Kriner, Sara (Tim) Creekmur, Jason Shroyer; great-grandchildren, Erika, Tanner and Robby Smith, Nicholas, Sean and Addy Kriner, Nathan Shroyer, Maya and Kira Creekmur; brothers, Paul, Joe and Charles Bush; sisters, Wanda Noble, Evelyn Myers. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Kriner; parents; sister, Wilma Hayes; brother, Bill Bush; grandson, Nicholas Kriner.
A Celebration of life Service will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown, OH 45005 with Rev. Todd Wallen officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.

Napier, JoAnn, age 69, of Franklin, passed away Monday, October 16, 2017 at her residence. She was born February 7, 1948 in Hazard, KY to Joseph and Agnes (Bryant) Napier. JoAnn was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Lebanon. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. JoAnn is survived by her children, Tina (Joe) Sparks of Middletown, Kelli (Shawn) Watson of Lebanon, Amber Tillison of Lebanon, Tiffany Newman of Franklin, Josh (Jessica Taylor) Crouch of Monroe; grandchildren, Joey (Amber) Sparks, Micah, Aaron, Lydia, Reagan, McKinley, Ellisyn, Caleb, Preston, Hayden; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara (Bob) Wells of Waynesville, Carol Carpenter of Madisonville, KY, Irma Robbins of Fredericksburg, VA, Twyla (Kevin) Frasher of Celina; brothers, Jack (Sarah) Napier of Viper, KY, Jamie (Traci) Adams of Highland Ranch, CO and numerous nieces and nephews. Baker Jr., Otis, 72 of Middletown passed away on Monday, October 16th at Hospice of Butler & Warren Co. He was born on November 20, 1944 in Hazard, KY to Otis & Bertha (Hamilton) Baker Sr. Otis retired after 42 years of service in 2012 as a owner / operator. He attended the Watermark Church in Monroe and was a member of the Middletown Moose # 501. He is survived by his sons, Jason (Aimee) and Nick (Melissa) Baker; his granddaughter, Jackie Baker; three brothers, Eugene (Lowell), Orie, and Kenneth Baker and his sisters, Ann (Bob) Baber and Leona (Doug) Combs.
Otis was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Karl Baker and a sister, Grace Baker. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 21st from 10:00 am – Noon at the Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown, OH 45005 with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at Noon with Pastor Ron German officiating.
