I am seeking to identify and locate the parents of John Kelley born
somewhere in NC, married in KY 1815 to Desdemonia (Desdemondia) Brown.
Also trying to locate dates and children for John and Desdemonia as well
as the place of their deaths. I do know that at least one child, James
Brown Kelley was born in Perry Co, KY 21 Oct 1819(according to his
obituary), and ended up in IN by 1850 and then IA before 1860.
I am also trying to find a marriage record for John Kelley and Desdemonia
Brown in KY.

Is there anyone on this list? I not had any mail at all from it. If there
is, I'm looking for someone that could make me a copy of one page from the
1900 Perry Co. census. I'll be happy to reimburse any expense.
Also, does anyone know if there are birth records available from 1885? I'm
attempting to join the DAR and I need proof of my grandma's birth in Perry
Co. She was the daughter of
Lafayette Brashears and Joanna Baker Brashears, born Dec. 6, 1885.
Thanks for any help.

Dawn, I am from Letcher County, and yes you need to look at the GLOWMAWR, in
Perry County, Ky. I am also very famliiar with Neon as we just moved from
there back to Ohio. I have lots of Letcher and Perry Co. records if I could be
of help. Please e-mail me at darpetti(a)aol.com. I was past vice president of
the Let. Co. Hist./Gen. Society and they could be of help to you also. Happy
Hoping to clarify a town and the correct county. Grandparents married
in 1932 at "Glowmar, KY". I haven't been able to find a town spelled
that way in KY, although I have found a "Glomawr, Perry Co, KY". They
lived in Neon, Letcher Co KY when married. Can anyone tell me if there
was a Glowmar, KY or should I be looking at Glomawr, Perry Co, for their
marriage information. I have never lived in KY and am unfamiluar with
the town names there. Thanks for any help determining the correct
spelling/area of KY. Dawn Ratliff
