Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Booneville, KY - Cary Combs, 41, of Owsley County, KY, passed away Tuesday,
October 14, 2008, at the Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Cary was born in Wilmington, OH, on November 5, 1966, to Elden and Mary Ann
Kelly Combs. He was a self-employed stone mason, an avid sportsman, he
enjoyed hunting and fishing, and collected arrowheads.
Along with his parents, he is survived by a son, Gage Combs, and his mother
Crystal Combs, both of Booneville, KY; a brother, Jeffrey Combs of
Georgetown, KY; an uncle, Richard Kelly of Morrow, OH; a niece McKaylyn
Combs, Beattyville, KY; and two nephews, Noah Combs of Beattyville, KY and
Robbie Kelly of Morrow, OH; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many,
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Clifton and Lucy Combs, and
Grace and Mac Kelly.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 1:00 p.m., at the
Booneville Funeral Home, with Scottie Brandenburg officiating. Visitation
was held on Friday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Burial
in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Booneville, KY, with the Booneville Funeral
Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were: Tim Brandenburg, John Spencer, Dennis Brandenburg, Fred
Carmack, Greg Kelly, Jeff Bradley and Audley Gay.

at the Lee County Care & Rehabilitation Center, Beattyville, KY, after a
He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Baptist Church and a
retired farmer. He was born in Owsley County, KY on March 30, 1919, to the
late Clay and Mary Combs. He was the widower of Mary Jane Bishop Combs
He is survived by a daughter, Georgia Moyers of Beattyville, KY; seven sons:
David Combs and Chester Combs of Booneville; Charlie Combs, Manchester, KY;
Oakley Combs, Cincinnati, OH, Willie Dale (& Lesa) Combs, Maineville, OH;
Maxie (& Jean) Combs, Morrow, OH; and Letcher (& Geneva) Combs, South
Lebanon, OH; 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife; a daughter, Beatrice
Abner; and a grandson, Martin Abner Jr.
Visitation was held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the Searcy &
Strong Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 17, 2008 at the
funeral home with Rev. Joe Powlas officiating. Burial in the Esau-Gabbard
Cemetery with Searcy and Strong Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

COBURN, Ella D. age 79, passed away Friday, October 10, 2008 at The Oaks of
West Kettering. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert
Coburn. She is survived by her two daughters: Janet Coburn and her husband Dan
