Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
In Bell County where my husband was raised there are several instances where
family members are buried in the "back yard". Will the Owsley Co listings
have any of those?

I am looking for the KINCAID family of Owsley Co. I believe they were from
VA. and that they raised a family in owsley and into Estill & Powell.
Father for the Tug was Edward Wyatt Kindcaid & his mother was Miriam
Lycurgus(Uncle Tug) KINCAID 8/6/1829
I am looking for the ancestors & descendants trying to get to my
step-grandmother Mary Alice KINCAID.
Any help would be appricated.

I am simply the webmaster and coordinator for the two counties, I get the
information on line that others send me and sometimes call for volunteers to
do some transcribing. The people on the Clay and Owsley lists are great, I
could not have the information available if not for their efforts. Thank
you for the compliments.

This is a note to let everyone know that My personal website has changed
it's URL. This has been in the works for a couple of weeks, that is what I
have been spending most of my time on. I finally have it 90% complete.
Anyway, please book mark the new URL when you visit. There will be a
directional page up at the old site for a another month.

When Manerva BOWMAN LYNCH died on 11 Feb 1922, she was buried in the Cecil
Cemetery. She was living in the Travelers Rest area of Owsley Co. at the
time of her death.
On the 1910 census, she was living on the Booneville/Manchester Rd.
Does anyone know where this cemetery is located or if it might be under a
different name now?
