Mike, in the picture I have of the man and woman, they subjects look to
be about mid-40's years of age.
It could be a J. W. Knox, born 1864. (that would make him 30 to 40
years in the picture, as I'm told the picture is late
1890's or 1900.)
This J. W. was the son of Robt F. Knox, and 1) Amanda Craigmyle.
J. W. would have been halfbrother to Robert Bledsoe Knox, b. 1875. who
was father to my mother-in-law. Which could
explain it's presence.
These pictures were among some that came from my in-laws belongings to
our home in 1974. They were in the bottom of a small box, along with
about 16-18 others, under some other little things of my husband's that
his mother may have boxed up before she died. Only in recent past did I
decide to go to bottom of the box which had been out of sight, out of
mind for years. 'Twas a great excitement to find them, being reasonably
new to genealogy.
I have gotten most of those identified. But these two ring no bells
