Dear Ray & Family
Have been thinking every day I will write and then don't get it done. Hope
you don't wait as long as I have to write back.
I was home a few days for Christmas. I don't know if I have written to you
since then or not. Thanks for the magazine. I look at it often and enjoy
the pictures so much, and wish I could see the beautiful scenery and
flowers. Are they really as wonderful as the pictures? I am hoping to get
home this coming week end. Glenn is coming after me if the weather is good.
Haven't been home since Christmas. I sit here and crochet and watch T.V., A
little girl was just in here with Sherrie Ann (Black). She wants me to
crochet her a doll cap so you see I am in my second childhood. I am making
doll cloths. Dad and Stanley was here a week ago Sunday. I think Dad stays
at Stanleys most of the time since Stanley was sick.
Uncle Sam Howard had a wreck last Thursday, His car went over a bank. He
was killed instantly Aunt Sallie has both legs, both arms and three ribs
broken and one eye out. She was concious and she thinks he had a heart
Louises father is very ill not expected to live, he is in the hospital in
Rome Ga. He had an operation for prostate trouble and he is slowly bleeding
to death. Bob said they didn't think he would last more than a week or two.
Cant think of another thing to write just now, will have to get us some
supper which isn't a very big job. Mr Flora is trying to tend to every
thing this evening including every body business, and he don't know half the
time what he is doing.
Love to everyone, Mother
