Subject: [KYNICHOL] MESSICK
In Perrin's "History of Bourbon, Scott, Harrison and Nicholas Counties", I
read that Isaac Messick introduced the tailoring business to Carlisle abt.
1816 and that John Messick was a tinner in Carlisle abt. the same
time. This is all the information I have on these two men. I'm wondering
if anyone on this list might know anything more. For the past couple of
years I've been researching Messicks in KY in areas including Nicholas,
Jessamine, Bourbon, Shelby and Madison counties in hopes of finding the
ancestry of my ggggrandmother, Lydia Messick who appears in the 1810-40
censuses in Madison Co.
