Carol, I have seen your postings and the Ancestry World Tree online
"BALLINGAL Family" from Roger Lovitt, same email - so he must belong to
you as well?
Do you have any information about Robert F. and his siblings or parents?
I am going to try to find obituaries for as many as I can. Looks like
Robert's brother William may have been born about 1813 and married Sarah
Ann Strahan. They lived in Fleming Co., KY and I can find a couple more
PORTERs in Sherburne, Fleming County who are the right age to be
additional siblings: John PORTER b. about 1816, mother born VA; Andrew
PORTER, born about 1822, mother born VA. The Mason County marriage
records online give quite a few PORTER marriage in the 1825-1845 range,
but I haven't gone back to check them since learning there may have been
10 children total for William and Hannah Martin PORTER.
Do you have any information about Edmund Martin? I have a bit that I
have found on line as well.
Would you like to see my information about Robert PORTER b. 1784?
I have found a tombstone photo from Warren county OH online that might
be the father of these two boys, born in Ireland. Our family records
say mom died at sea.
My Robert Porter married Thalia Tharp and her parents are buried in this
same cemetery, having been removed from the old Presbyterian graveyard
as was this William PORTER. He's certainly old enough to be the father
of Robert and William.
Looking forward to hearing from you again.

Subject: [KYNICHOL] Children of William PORTER and Hannah MARTIN
Hello, I am new to the list, researching the PORTER line from
KY. Several children of William PORTER, b. 1784 Ireland and Hannah
MARTIN b. 1791, daughter of Edmund MARTIN moved to Nicholas county.
According to the History of Bourbon, Scott, Harrison and Nicholas
Counties, Kentucky, ed. by William Henry Perrin, O. L. Baskin & Co.,
Chicago, 1882. page 783. (Nicholas County) (Ellisville Precinct)
biography for their son Henry Harrison PORTER,
they had ten children, only one of whom lived to the date of this
I have found five possibly:
Henry Harrison PORTER who married Margaret W. DAVIS in Mason county
Nov 1835, they lived in Nicholas Co.
Margaret C. PORTER who married Joel HOWARD in Mason county, 15 Jul
1830, they lived in Nicholas County
Robert Fulton PORTER who married Polly A. RUDDELL, they lived in
Nicholas county, he died before 1860, in 1850 census he is listed as
William PORTER, the only son listed in the PORTER records passed down
Sepia? PORTER who married Isaac SKINNER, her mother Hannah is living
with her in 1850 Nicholas County, Dist 2.
I have seen postings on this mailing for a couple of PORTER
I would love to hear from you. My husband is a descendent of
PORTER's brother Robert, also born 1784 Ireland - they might have been
twins?. Robert lived in Warren county, OH, some of his children moved
west, many to Minnesota.
