Subject: [KYNICHOL] Roll Call - Burns, Camron, Conn, Ferguson, Glasgow,
Hayes, Jones, Stuart, Throckmorton
I am researching the following surnames in Nicholas Co., KY: Burns,
Camron (Cameron), Conn, Ferguson, Glasgow, Hayes (Hays), Jones, Stuart and
Some of the surnames I am working on who were married to siblings of my
are: Browning, Hall, Lowe, Manning, McClanhan, McGuire, Neff,
Snodgrass, Taylor, Walker, Whitehead and Wigglesworth.
I am having trouble finding information on Andrew Burns who was originally
Scotland, fled to Ireland, then to America before the American
Revolutionary War. He and a brother, John Burns, enlisted in the Army in
Pennsylvania. Shortly after the war they both moved to Kentucky with their
families and settled in Nicholas County. Andrew had a son named Samuel
Burns, born March 11, 1795 in Nicholas Co., KY. I have been unable to find
Andrew's wife's name and if they had other children.
Samuel Burns married Sarah Ferguson on January 1, 1819 in Fleming County,
lived in Nicholas County between 1820-1842. Trying to find out
who Sarah Ferguson's parents were.
I am trying to find information on Annie Glasgow who was born about 1788
Pennsylvania. She married Andrew McCune Camron on Feb. 2, 1815 in
Nicholas Co., KY. I believe Annie's parents were Nathaniel Glasgow and Mary
Stuart. Where are they from and where are they buried?
