The marriage of Alexander mcClain to Elizabeth Caldwell appears in
County, Kentucky Marriage Records 1799-1855". In 1829 he moved
family to Brown county, Ohio.
Howe's history of Brown County records of John Rankin that --
"While Pastor of Cane Ridge and Concord Churches, in Nicholas and Bourbon
counties, Ky., in 1817, he first began to preach against slavery.

Indiana, while he selected Ripley [in Brown county, Ohio], where, from

Are there any records which would show whether Alexander McClain or a
Caldwell family were members of either of these churches? Is it correct
assume that Cane Ridge was in Nicholas county and Concord in
