We still have not been able to isolate the problem that is causing the pending records to
not submit from the transcribers' pending folders.
I do have a workaround for you until it is resolved. I'm due to leave town through
the weekend, so it won't be fixed before next week unless Tanya has some time to look
into this further over the weekend.
THE WORKAROUND:
1. Log in and go to your pending folder.
2. Write down the death volume and certificate number for any records you think you may
be ready to submit from your pending folder.
3. In the links in the left pane under TRANSCRIPTION, click VIEW OR CHANGE.
4. Choose the link for RESET DEATH RECORD.
5. Enter the death volume and certificate number for the first record you wish to reset.
Then click submit. After that, you can use your back button to get back to the entry form
to repeat with the next certificates until you have reset them all.
6. Click the STAFFHOME link.
7. Click the LOGIN link.
It will remember your login and let you browse right back to your transcription folders.
All the reset certificates should be first in their respective county folders. From there,
you can either finish and submit them or pend them again if necessary.
For those of you who are waiting for me to clear problem records, I'm working on
that today and should have many of them gone from your pending folders either today or
tomorrow. If you inherited or have run into certificates for multiple births, those will
have to remain in your pending folders for now. They will require a different processing
form, which isn't yet finished.
Thanks,
--Sheryl Slaughter
