Image Processors,
Please change the resolution that you're using when resizing images to 125
pixels/inch (125 dpi). This will still give us an image that will be
printed on a single sheet of paper when the margins used are the default
ones for most printers, and will give a larger image, which will make it
easier on the researcher to read if they choose to print it off. Also,
please make the last step of the process to sharpen the image. This will
give us a "crisper" image and will get rid of some of the fuzzier charastics
we see on some of the images.
I'll get the imaging instructions updated tomorrow to reflect both of these
changes. If you use an automated script with PaintShop Pro, I'll also
upload revised versions tomorrow.
If you've been assigned images that you aren't going to be able to complete
in a 30-day time period, please let me know and I'll reassign them. If you
were assigned an initial folder of images that you haven't completed, please
contact me as soon as possible so I know what your status is.
I hope everyone enjoyed a happy and safe Christmas holiday. Please keep
those far from home in your thoughts as they weren't as lucky as most of us
to be able to spend the time with friends and family.
Thanks,
Sherri
