I'm getting a lot of reports of image quality problems because the writing is so
faint on some images. I wish I could wave my magic wand and make that ink darker
for you. We're not brightening/lightening the images much at all so I'm really
not able to get better quality from the originals we have. You may be able to
get information from the images at
Ancestry.com if you know someone with a
subscription.
If that doesn't help or you don't have access, here's what to do with faint
writing:
1) If you can't read the name of the decedent, death date, death place, go with
what we have prefilled into those fields from the Kentucky Death Index;
2) If you can't read the birthplace/father/mother/informant/age fields,
just leave them blank.
Please don't report images with faint writing--particularly if the typed content
does not appear too light.
Thanks,
Sheryl
